Understanding the Pass Line Bet

Every beginner should exclusively focus on the Pass Line wager when starting out.

Conversely, if the dice show a 2, 3, or 12, the bet loses instantly, which is called “crapping out.”

  • The Pass Line has a very low house edge
  • It is the most common bet on the table
  • Winning on the come-out roll doubles your money

What Happens After the Point is Set?

If any other number (4, 5, 6, 8, 9, 10) is rolled, that number becomes the “Point.”

If a 7 is rolled before the Point, the bet loses, and the round is completely over.

Once a Point is established, you can make an additional wager called “Taking Odds.”

Because it pays true mathematical odds, it is the only bet in the casino without a house advantage.
